University of Mississippi New STEM Building

The new STEM building creates a distinct Engineering/Science/Technology precinct by integrating existing science buildings on the Ole Miss campus. The new STEM building achieves the University’s mission of bringing together Science and Engineering, enhancing STEM literacy among all students of the University, increasing the number of STEM majors, and fostering the emergence of interdisciplinary programs and collaborations.

 

Ellenzweig is providing programming, laboratory planning, architectural design, and construction administration services for the building, which provides contemporary teaching facilities for engineering, science, technology, and mathematics/computer science. Program includes laboratories, classrooms and learning spaces, collaboration spaces, lounge and breakout areas, conference and meeting rooms, offices for faculty, students, and administration. Construction is underway.

 

Ellenzweig is serving as Design Architect and Lab Planner in a collaboration with McCarty Architects, Architect of Record.
