The University’s School for Marine Science and Technology is located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, overlooking Buzzards Bay. Ellenzweig collaborated with the University, the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, and the Massachusetts Department of Marine Fisheries in planning and designing a new research building.

Research projects emphasize interdisciplinary basic-to-applied marine sciences and the development of innovative technologies.

New research building is located at the southern tip of the New Bedford, Massachusetts, peninsula. Programming, lab planning, design, and construction administration services for a new academic research building and renovations to existing facilities to serve the Department of Fisheries and Oceanography, Department of Estuarine and Ocean Sciences, and Department of Marine Fisheries; program includes specialized research laboratories, lab support, teaching labs and classrooms, computer room, conference spaces, offices, and community outreach and partnership spaces; 100,000 gsf total; $31.5 million; construction complete 2017.
