Quality of Place

A day-lit student Commons bisects this STEM education building providing respite and a place to dwell for students attending adjacent science and technology classes. The long skylight integrates photo-voltaic cells in the glazing significantly reducing glare and heat gain in the space.  The resulting filtered daylight through the remaining clear glass creates a comfortable ambience, while biophylic walls bring life to this student hub, connect its occupants with nature, and enhance health and wellbeing with natural air filtration and reduced noise.
