Ellenzweig provided programming verification, lab and instructional facilities planning and design, and architectural design services for this seven-story building that provides pharmaceutical teaching and research facilities. The program includes teaching labs, lecture halls, classrooms, and seminar rooms (14-person classrooms); biochemistry research labs and associated support spaces; faculty offices; the Dean’s Suite; and associated administrative spaces. An atrium, which serves as the primary function space and houses the main entry, connects the first three floors of the building to existing Pharmacy Hall; bridges connect the two at the upper four floors.

The team guided the Steering Committee to an elegant solution through attentive listening, engaging dialogue, and consensus building with an admittedly demanding client.
