Ellenzweig is proud to share the news of its success in the international competition to redesign the main campus of Ukraine’s State Tax University (STU) in Irpin. The competition was launched in response to the devastation of STU’s campus during the early stages of the Russian-Ukrainian war and drew entries from architectural firms around the globe. Ellenzweig’s STU Ukraine competition team included Peter Herman, Tom Melville, Bryan Roi, Oguz Baykal, Miltos Catomeris, Neil Cahalane, Steve Mahler, and Andrii Vorobiov (in Kyiv).

Organized by STU, and supported by an international jury, the competition called for bold, visionary designs to rebuild the university as a symbol of resilience and a foundation for future Ukrainian independent leadership.

Ellenzweig’s entry designs reflect a commitment to themes of learning, sustainability, community, and accessibility aiming to create a campus that not only serves the academic community but also helps heal and inspire the broader Irpin region and the nation.
