Warren Alpert Medical School Building
Providence, Rhode Island

Based on a renovation in 2012, the new home of the Warren Alpert Medical School is in a renovated, former manufacturing building dating from 1928. The project includes a full variety of learning spaces for Medical Education, including anatomy labs, a clinical skills suite, student collaboration and study space, lecture halls, flexible classrooms, small group meeting rooms, offices, and a central atrium space. The project includes features specifically to promote student and staff health, including a central stairway, a fitness center, and a green rooftop terrace. These features provide the students and staff with opportunities to integrate physical activity and interactions with nature into their daily lifestyles.
