The newly renovated and expanded Physical Science Building provides teaching and research laboratories for Anthropology and Archaeology, Physics, Chemistry, and Biochemistry. Additional spaces include offices, shared spaces, a 120-seat lecture hall, a gallery, a computer lab powered by rooftop turbines, and a Science Discovery Center for public-school outreach programs.

The project included analysis of the existing building infrastructure and upgrades to aged mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. As the campus had limited swing space available, the project required a thorough utilization survey of existing teaching spaces, a comprehensive surge analysis, and a construction phasing strategy.

Ellenzweig provided program verification, lab planning and design, architectural design, and construction administration services for the project.
